I'm taking out my "What If" Crystal Ball

There is a lot of talk about Monica Honis wanting to be the Mayor. Rumor has it, that she is already telling people that she will be the top vote getter and that Audra Jackson is not even going to win. Since Parker bumped her for Deputy, last time, Monica wants to return the favor this year.

So Mayor Monica, will lead the charge for no more progress, continued reduction in services, and more tax increases. She will appoint Bill Morning as community relations specialist, Marty Cramer as Township Attorney, Ron Schwartz as Zoning Board Attorney, Mildred Tucker as Planning Board Chair, Sandy Loft as Board of Adjustment Chair, they have a Manager already interviewed and waiting.

Teaneck's future is not looking good.

The nice community we all love will be turned upside down. You can't manage a town with hate and anger.

I just woke up in a cold sweat. Is it May 13th yet?

Good bye Mayor Katz (and your ugly green tie) say hello to Mayor Monica.

Save Teaneck!!

As I wake up in a cold sweat from my own matzoh-induced coma, the rumor mill seems to be hard at work.

Are the folks spreading these particular rumors the same ones spreading the rumors that the eruv will be torn down or that Orthodox residents will be singled out for poor treatment?

Teaneck Truth - Perhaps this latest wave of paranoid prosnostication was brought on by mercury-laden gefilte fish.

Alan,

Why do you feel the need to bring this up? Unless you are INTENTIONALLY trying to stir up trouble?

p.s. I'm not saying that Teaneck Truth was doing anyone a service by writing crazy non attributed statements....but instead of merely acknoledging as Esther did that he may be crazy - you are actively raking through the muck.

Everyone needs to chill out. Teaneck will not go to the hounds if the Teaneck United candidates is elected. Nor will it be the end of the world end as we know it if Team Teaneck wins.

All this dire hysteria from advocates for both sides makes me want to pull the lever for none of the above, which fortunately, is an option.

Esther for Council?

Hey Esther,

While I have your attention...

Can you chat with your buddy Mr. Abbott over there and tell him that I don't appreciate him deleting my comments.

Appreciate it.....

Mr. Costello - I'll talk to him.

Stir up trouble? Wasn't that the purpose of this post?

A inordinate time seems to be spent by Teaneck Truth and other supporters of Team Teaneck in creating rumors intended to be divisive and disruptive, supported by nothing but imaginary rumors spread by cowards hiding behind pseudonyms.

I'd prefer to see a substantive discussion of this year's budget and how this will affect our Township's finances in future years. I'd love to discuss community relations and how they will be addressed in the aftermath of this political campaign.

There are plenty of substantive issues to be addressed in Teaneck. But all we get here on Teaneck Truth is the latest grist manufactured at the rumor mill.

To the question of who might be INTENTIONALLY trying to stir up trouble, it seems that this blog is a big part of that particular problem.

Teaneck Resident:
You have a choice of having your comments relative to my posts deleted or meeting my standards of civilized discourse. This includes not including personal attacks, attributing statements to me ) that I did not make, or bringing my family into it. Lying is not permitted. Stupidity is permitted.

The other option is to take responsibility for your posts by using your own name.

I will not discuss this further (unless you contact me directly). I will also remove this once you have time to see it.

A straight answer is requested said...

Dear Tom,

Erasing the comments of others is the sign of a petty despot. Just because you have administrator rights to a blog does NOT give you permission to monitor the thoughts of others.

Nor does it permit you to decide which thoughts should be summarily stricken.

You leave me little choice....if I let you remove my remarks, I have essentially let you silence me.

That will not happen.

I will replace them if removed and if you can't handle that, I suggest you resign as a blog administrator.

What "rumors?"

What "paranoia?"

It is plain political analysis to note that the Mayor would be selected by a new majority were Teaneck United to win the election. And the "leading light" of that slate, the putative Mayor in waiting is Monica Honis.

The burden is on the defenders of Teaneck United to forswear Honis's election as Mayor. And let us not forget the Honus Tax Bonus she attempted to foist on taxpayers this year -- a 6 plus point increase averted by the planning and action of the Katz-led Team Teaneck.

It is incumbent upon every tax payer to evaluate where he/she will stand tax wise if Honis leads the Council.

Waking up on May 13th and casting votes for Rudolph, Hameeduddin and Robinson is the thing to do to keep Katz as Mayor and Honis away from the levers of township power.

I also heard about the deal that Bill Moring made for the community relations position. Tucker made a lot of promises from what I understand. This will be a very interesting Council.Does the word debilitating show exactly what will happen has Mayor Monica takes control.

Alan-
You seem to own the best crystal ball in town. The information that you don't know, you make up very quick. How do you see the results of the election and you are part of Teaneck United. You know the deal that was made with Monica to help her Cousin Jackosn. Please give us your fortune.

Speaking of really wild rumors, try this one on for size:

It's been said that the same Teaneck PBA that endorsed New Beginnings two years ago and chipped in three grand to that effort has this year turned around and backed the Rudolph slate! No word yet on what they might give to this effort or whether it would be prohibited by our new pay-to-play ordinance.

That couldn’t possible be....could it?

There is a difference between rumors and lies. Teaneck Truth's post is not based on rumor is outright fabrication as are most of the anonymous posts he adds later.

This is the rumor mill. Created by paid for by guess who?

I'm rather underwhelmed with my crystal ball, especially given the amount I paid for it. The damn ball didn't tell me I would have dozens of signatures kicked out due to people signing too many petitions; The ball had no idea that the three ladies would be endorsed by either Teaneck United *or* the Northeast Teaneck Block Presidents, let alone both; It seems to know diddlysquat about Monica and Audra and their relationship with each other, let alone any "deal". Even worse, when there's something I don't know, the ball refuses to make up information, forcing me to do this thing it calls "research" to get the needed details without its help.

If its facts you need, I've got a whole bunch of those memorized and I think I know what I need to do to find those I don't know. There's little coming out of this crystal ball that seems to be worthwhile. But if I'm looking for some freshly manufactured rumors, I know this is the blog to turn to.

I have been reading this blog for quite some time and I was quite taken a back by some of the insensitive comments I have read here recently. Considering people do not know the background of those who read their comments I think they should be more sensitive. Teaneck brags about it's diversity but we have a long way to go in sensitivity. I am referencing the comments about Monica Honis and eggplants and KFC chicken. While I am not her biggest fan I do not think those comments were appropriate. I think if someone had changed those items and inserted Elnatan Rudolph's name another segment of the community would have been offended. I am happy to see that the remarks have been removed but as a lifelong Teaneck resident I do not think we can progress when people make these types of insensitive comments. Deal with the issues at hand and stop the insensitive, derogatory and dare I say racist personal attacks.

Talking about sensitivity, I see on the other blog that the Abbots are showing their sensitivity to Orthodox worship by opposing it. They manage to use but a single breath to proclaim their opposition to a private prayer group and their horror at "rumors" that their Teaneck United ticket is hostile to Orthodox interests. Passing strange it is.

Ok...Alan, let's check the mis"truths" at the Teaneck Truth front door.

You really need a new crystal ball If you didn't think that Toffler and Tucker who have both been active behind the scenes were not going to support Toffler, Honis and Jackson. You were at the meetings, who did you think the ethical blond woman in the room was, Ron Schwartz? I think that is why people don't trust your fuzzy math' because of your constant blinders and mistruths.
That is why Ned is the number one choice for all in this election.

Team Teaneck supporter finally admits his candidates can't win.

Anonymous said...

You kidding??? That's Ole Ned tooting his own horn.

Isn't fuzzy math what happens when you stop paying your bills and push more than 3 million in money owed to next year and call it real tax stabilization. Blame this on Elnatan Tax-Fraud Rudolph.

my poor Teaneck - bring back Gallucci, Ostrow and Stern already.
