Two for the Price of One

I am sorry that I couldn't attend the Council meeting last week. I heard that we now have two Mayors running the meeting- Feit and Parker. The word I got was that Feit was trying to run the meeting and Parker kept interrupting, commenting on everything and telling Feit what to do. I guess we needed two to fill Katz's shoes, but it was a little confusing from what I hear. So please join me in welcoming the new Mayor: Mayor Farker

i heard that the recycling bill was discussed regarding outsourcing DPW and saving $$$$$- we would get curb side pickups once a week and not deal with the sunday losers that hang out at DPW laughing as us common folk stumble with our boxes. The women voted against it????

Anybody have info on this?

I hope someone answers the above question.

I want answers too.

The way I heard it, the best case scenario is savings and weekly pickup for the residents. Worst case, the savings are not available and the township will break even.

Not so for the DPW employees who may get phased out.

Then again, it's not the township's business to keep people employed.

Employed or just salaried?

The meeting I attended on Tuesday night was quite well run for a mayor running his first meeting. Mayor Feit went out of his way to build a sense of cooperation among all of the council members and very deliberately talked through a number of issues to explain the matters at hand for his benefit, the other members of the council and all those in attendance. I did see the mayor and deputy mayor talk with each other, but I certainly didn't see any interrupting or telling anybody what to do. Maybe your informant and I attended two different meetings. I was overall happy with what I saw from Mayor Feit.

Too bad there's no video record to check.

I wanted the outsourcing of recycling to happen. I hope it still has a chance to happen. Once a month pick up is rediculous. Weekly pick up would facilitate a greater participation in the program.

I attended the meeting as well & I thought that everyone was very nice & respectful to one another. I hope that the positive atmosphere will continue!

When will the Cramerist attack machine get up on the G & W floor to attack its enemies? Are they waiting for a video meeting to maximize their impact?

Are they spending the summer writing their cue cards for the line of denunciators when they are ready?

What will replace the Rudy-must-go theme?

Anonymous - Hate to break it to you, but the Rudy-must-go attack machine has been replaced by the Monica-must-go attack machine and the complain-about-Barbara attack machine. You're it honey. Start writing those cue cards...

There is no anti Barbara Machine. Barabara has shown herself to be a vicious, mean angry person. She is not a positive person and will thurt this Council.

Barbara is the quenn of Mean!

The people that wanted to get rid of Rudy did it despite the money he brought into the town (through the same connections they would hem and haw about), but the people against Monica are pissed that she wants to raise taxes, excludes segments of the town with her speaches and created an atmosphere that, at best, is not conducive to productive government.

Not quite the same Esther.
