Teaneck as we know it is about to change! Teaneck Tax bills are about to be mailed with the new assessments based on the "reval"
Some thoughts, predictions etc:
1- There will be an uproar in the northeast portion of Town. This was a result of the sharp increase in unimproved homes from the last reval until now.
2- The same detractors (or shall we call them the good and welfare buddies) will start screaming and accusing the new council of doing nothing
3- There will be cries of discrimination from the Shepard Avenue Association (discriminate if you build, and discriminate if you tax...hmmmm....). They will try to make a play to lead the Northeast, while the Northern Teaneck Road Alliance (Langford et al) who have been diligently working on stimulating economic development will hopefully prove victorious (for all of Teaneck's sake)
4- Hopefully Councilwomen Kates, Honis and Parker will start working with the other Councilmen (I broke up the group by sex, but that's okay since its not by religion) rather then fighting them and playing to the crowd. Hey Monica- its not too late for an Emmy! Get another performance in before the mail comes!
5- Teaneck continues to work on improving relations and fostering partnerships with the County (oh the big bad monster) and the State.

Had the new rate been made public yet?
In our home we shut the television before Monica begins her ranting.
I can't stand listening to her.
Teanech Truth,
Jackie's "I remember when ..." speeches put her in direct competition with Monica for the Emmy.
I love these long winded speeches focusing on the past without mentioning anything on moving forward.
Why aren't there any articles in the local rags showcasing the drama and theatrics of Kates & Honis? It is time the town residents really see the true life drama that these town pretenders really exhibit.
Perhaps the title of this post should be: "The time has come to pile on..."
Haven't I been saying "move on, move on" for the last few weeks? Every time its just ignored in lieu of jucier comments. I agree Teaneck Truth. Folks, tell us all what can be done that can be good if not great for our town!!!!!
Jackie and Monica are not interested in moving on.
And for the record- they have not accomplished shit on their own- if it wasn't for the Mayor and the other men on the Council, we would still be having discussions about having discussions!!
For those who might have already read this week's Suburbanite, it is quite apparent that several have no interest in moving on.
Here is a preview:
Howard Prosnitz pats himself on the back and claims the Pastramigate picture has caused all the tension in town. The tension was here long before the picture and the campaign letters went out last year.
This can only be outdone by the conspiracy theory written in by Laura Zucker in which she suggests that Corzine’s car accident was actually not an accident.
Here is another conspiracy- Monica's moustache was placed on her lip by the evil orthodox jews of Teaneck- it did not grow there naturally
